This week I received a virus via an email. The sender was purportedly someone I knew and had exchanged email with in the past. The attachment that came with the email somehow got past my virus checker and turned out to be a pornographic screensaver loaded with the
I-Worm.Bagle.ah virus which promptly infested a couple of hundred of my files. including system files.
Fortunately the cure was housed at my virus software providers homepage and I was able to scrub clean.
The reason for the post here is that the same virus had been sent under my name to someone on these boards (I had not actually sent him any mail for quite some time) and his reply/warning to me arrived at the same time as the infected mail, which was also from someone on these wine boards, not necessarily Auswine.
So to the point. For this to have occurred the worm must have come from a computer with all three of our names in its address book. That is someone on these boards.
Please, update your anti-virus software and check your computers.
