Hello All,
I recently read a reference to a “pre-Brady†Wendouree wine. I think it was the 1971 Shiraz and was being singled out for its greatness… I suspect due to the vintage, not because Tony Brady did not have a hand in its creation... I think.
However, given the faith that many/most of us newer recipients of the Wendouree order form exercise by spending considerable funds on Wendouree red wines that will not be drinkable/enjoyable for at least 10-20 years, I would be interested to know if anyone can comment on whether there have been any changes in style of Wendouree wines in recent years, say over the last 20 years.
Kind regards,
Adair
Question for those with long Wendouree Experience

I have had them back to 1984. To my mind the styles now are similar to then, with perhaps some more refinement (as with many wines) over recent years.
Still almost too big in excellent vintages, and more refined and drinkable in lesser years eg. 1989 has been great to drink for several years now (Shiraz, Cabernet and Cab-Malbec) and 1993 is also easier to access than a vintage like 1990 for example.
regards
Chris
