Screwcaps for premium reds is a juggernaut that won't, now, be stopped. General drinking public of quaffing wines may still need some convincing, but the buyers of super premiums are all worded up and generally gung ho. Difference between now and the 1970s, where there was also some acceptance of screwcaps among afficionados, is that the percentage of wine drinkers now that are well, or at least moderately, wine educated is much higher.
