Browning a little. A nicely aged ripe Barossa Shriaz, showing chocolate, and leather initially, with the last vestiges of plum also making an appearance. As the wine opened in the decanter it became more savoury, showing black olive and prune, and also the sarsparilla character that very ripe fruit can bring. Reasonable length, tannins still quite grippy. 24 hours later the last glass was still holding well but the tannins had come more to the fore.

While this is a style I'm trying to get away from, I prefer them to be more primary than this. Very nice nonetheless.

Cheers
