TN: Villa Antinori Chianto Classico Riserva 2019

G'day
Decanted immediately before service. First bottle was corked, unfortunately.
Purple black in colour. A moderately complex nose, with dried herbs, red and dark cherry, fresh red plums, and a touch of leather and spice. The palate is medium bodied, with juicy red fruits, Chinotto, more herbs and a deliciously spicy lick. There's a little viscosity and moderate tannic grip- both of which combine for a textural mouth feel - and more length than I was expecting.
A shame about the first bottle - this is (to my palate) an excellent example of a Chianti Classico. 4 bottles to go.
Cheers
