G'day
This wine was purchased from the winery in Radda in Chianti back in 2019. Decanted 3 hours before service.
Deep purple colour. Complex and fragrant nose of dak cherry, blue and black berries, plums, rosemary, dried herbs, cedary oak and a touch of menthol. The palate is quite full without being overly heavy - more developed fruit flavours, fine integrating tannins providing some grip, and balancing acid. A lovely slippery texture and considerable length,
A delightful Chianti and probably at its peak. I'm glad I slipped this into my luggage 7 years ago.
Cheers
Allan
