NV Dutschke The Tawny 22-Year Old Port
Rich golden brown. Luscious super-rich bouquet of butterscotch, caramelised peaches and apricots, and honey. The palate is long and concentrated. A second rush of intensity fills out the palate. The finish is at least 30 seconds long. A very slight over-alcohol ‘hotness” descends on the finish, snipping the wine from great to excellent. This has become a favourite over the last few weeks and I can’t seem to get enough of it in winter. Really, really lovely and sensuous. Along with the brilliant NV de Bortoli Black Noble, this is my current favourite fortified from Australia (lip smacking stuff!).
Excellent 18.5 / 20

Ding dong, you're not wrong. This is excellent Tawny by any measure.

I had the pleasure of trying this as well as the Muscat and the Tokay last week. All were of the same high quality for their styles, I notice Mr Parker has pointed them right up unfortunately. Keep your mits off our treasures. They are also bargains at the price point.

I thought they were sold out this year but Gavin our host at Auswine still has some so be quick for these luscious gems.
