No Rag received yet but looks like online order has been updated (today 1st Oct) to include this years release. Seems Basket Press has increased $2, same with RR and maybe others.

Can anyone comment on the 22 Barossa vintage?

Will probably get a mix as usual although won't go heavy on BP like I did on the 21 unless I'm convinced otherwise!

In speaking to a few winemakers from the Barossa, they all spoke in glowing terms of 2022, less so of 2023.

Definitely. 2021 and 2022 are strong vintages. 2023 suffered with cool wet weather, buy with caution.

I'm finding 22 Barossa Shiraz quite good. Only a smidgeon below 21 but that was a once in a decade (or more) vintage IMO. Can't fault the fruit ripeness and quality. Agree 23 not as good.

While I don’t necessarily align with the Winefront critics’ palates, I heard they hammered the 22 BP. Anyone else yet to try it?

Mike, I have never given a second thought on what a critic has said and the number of times they have got it wrong... badly wrong.
Past form and pedigree holds sway, and best to back your own palate and the experienced palates that live right here on this forum. BP may have a problem in that some punters don't think its been any good since Ringers left, but I believe that the next generation of wine makers know what they are doing.
I will buy, open one, decant and have with dinner and see what's it's like.
I'm more worried about inflated scores that will inevitably come for the ordinary 2023 vintage, which to date has seen a lot of duds....wines that are thin and finish short, don't have the backbone and structure for the long haul.
