TN: Jane Brook Estate 'Atkinson Family Reserve' Shiraz 2014

G'day
This (sadly defunct) Swan Valley producer also sourced grapes from its Margaret River vineyard, and earlier vintages have been based on MR cabernet. This, I believe, was from the home vineyard in the Swan Valley.
Deep purple / black in colour. The nose is showing vanillan oak, with black and blue berries on the nose. Cloves, leather polish and eucalypt too.
The palate is quite powerful, with savoury notes balancing the dark fruits. Tannins are grippy and firm, and acid is maintaining a degree of freshness in what is a reasonably developed wine.
Depending on how aged you like your reds, I think this will hold for a while, but unlikely to improve.
Cheers
Allan
