G'day

In celebration of Ray Jordan's Top Winery award to Howard Park, I thought it was appropriate to open an older bottle.

Yellow gold in colour, still bright in the glass. The nose shows lime cordial, salted lemon, cashew nuts, and traces of stone fruits - fruit notes and savoury are about 50/50. The palate is full and rich, with the savoury characters to the fore, and peach / nectarine fruit across the middle palate. Acid is playing an important supoporting role, and the oak is observable in slightly drying tannins.

Good length and holding up well for a 14 year old chardonnay. Congratulations Howard Park /Marchand and Burch on your award, and the continuing quality of your wines.

Cheers
Allan
