TN: Olivers Taranga Sagrantino 2016

G'day
Olivers Taranga makes some small batch wines in addition to their core range. The Sagrantino is one of them. 14.5% alcohol.
This has faded over time to a light purple colour with brick red rim. The nose is showing blueberries, violets, cloves, chocolate or mocha, and a touch of graphite. The palate is mouthfilling, with the chocolate and berry fruits flooding over the tongue. Tannins were substantial when this was a younger wine, but have softened and integrated nicely, while there is sufficient acid without being sharp or zingy. Long finish and a reasonably full bodied wine.
Not likely to improve, but may hold a little longer. Younger vintages would be worth a look.
Cheers
