TN: A.Rodda Willowlake Vineyard Chardonnay 2015

My last bottle of this Yarra Valley Chardonnay. Adrian Rodda makes one or two other chardonnays from different locations as well as this one. Conversely, other producers use Willowlake Vineyard chardonnay in their wines (notably Oakridge).
Light lemon yellow in colour - amazing for a 9 year old wine.
Savoury notes dominate the nose (grilled nuts and cedary oak) but developed stone fruits (nectarine, light peach) emerge with a little air, along with modest grapefruit. The palate continues this theme, although the fruits are more in play than on the nose. Cleansing acid, and slight grip from the timber. Quite a full finish, with some juiciness. Refreshing and full of interest.
Not likely to improve (there's a surprise!). Drink now if you have some.
Cheers
