I will have the opportunity over easter on the way back from Kangaroo Island to stop in at McLaren Vale for lunch - never been before. Any recommendations for a great winery with lunch?

Thanks!

Does anyone rate d'Arenberg or Coriole?

Go to The Victory. Wine list even by the glass is impressive. One of the only places I’ve seen to have Rockford Black Shiraz by the glass. Well worth it. d’Arenberg is all about tourism these days and less about the wine. The Cube is pretty cool though. If you have time, Yangarra are making fantastic wines at the moment and the new cellar door is very nice.

Cheers
Ian

Coriole has a fantastic restaurant, together with some great 'modern' wines. Their Sangiovese was ground-breaking, their Chenin likewise and they haven't rested on their laurels. Coorong mullet is not an easy fish to cook well - they do it with ease.
