TN: Glenmore Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2013
Posted: Tue Jun 20, 2023 10:58 pm
Decanted 2 hours before service.
Deep purple black in colour, purple at the rim.
Considerable eucalypt on the nose, along with the expected blackcurrant. Some black olive and green capsicum as well as toasty oak, and tobacco.
The palate seems quite well developed for a 10 year old wine, with savoury characters and oak on top of the fruit flavours. Dusty tannins provide some grip, and there's good supporting acid. The wine finishes quite long.
I think I prefer the 2011 at this point in time, but this is a good example of Margaret River cabernet nevertheless.
Cheers
