TN: Auswine cleanskin #1

Post by markg »

A deep rich purple color with a nose of sweet fruits, milk chocolate and coffee beans.
A wonderful palate of sweet blackfruits, charry oak, mocha and rasberry. Ample body, generous length and finishing with nicely integrated tannins.
Score: 18/20

Its amazing its a cleanskin actually. With just toasted sandwiches on the dinner table, my wife took one sip, looked at me and asked why I had opened such a nice wine for toasted sandwiches (which almost launched me into a lengthy discussion about life being too short for crap wine,... yada y.. yada .. you know the story)

Hi

2002 Auswine Cleanskin Shiraz #1

I probably prefer the #2 marginally, but both are great in my (probably biased) opinion.
