My second last bottle of this. The back label says: "Reward cellaring up to 15 years". I've hit that mark.
Deep purple in colour. Like many older Margaret River cabernet-dominant wines, the initial impression on the nose is graphite, with developed blackberry and blackcurrant fruits underneath. The nose remain somewhat savoury, however, as fruit sweetness has somewhat diminished.
The palate is lively, with prominent acid holding up tart red and dark fruits. It's quite grippy, and there's some cocoa powder adding to the interest. Very long finish - I'll taste this for hours.
15 year may be hitting the mark, but I think it has also hit its range. Drink now.
Cheers
