G'day

This is my second-last bottle of this vintage and I think it has been a couple of year since I looked at one.

Deep yellow, tinged with gold, in colour. No sign of browning. Rich and full nose, with nectarine, honeydew melon, some grilled nuts, and vanillan oak in the background. Fruit is still dominant.

The palate is surprisingly fresh and, although flavourful, has a touch of lightness about it. The stone fruit flavours dominate; however, there's a slight tannic grip / mouthfeel, and a degree of viscosity. A very long finish on this one.

Overall, a well balanced wine, and looking youthful for 10 years of age. I'm enjoying this - one of the better chardonnays I've opened this year.

Cheers
Allan
