TN: Picardy Pinot Noir 2013

From Pemberton in the south west of WA. My second last bottle from a quantity purchased some years ago.
Garnet in colour. The usual strawberry and cherry fruit characters, along with earthiness, mushrooms, and savoury characters coming to the fore. The palate continues these traits, with the savoury and mushroom characters sitting on top of the fruits. Acid is quite high, and the tannins are fine but prominent, in the same way as a young Nebbiolo. Long finish, and a fine match for a truffle pasta.
Cheers
