1991 Wynn's BL Cab Sav

Post by brodie »

brought as a gift to a outdoor picnic someone who turned 30 this month.

Not really a tasting note, but it was wonderful with a lovely mature fragrance bouquet. Lots and lots of fruit on the palate, mature resolved tannins, long finish, good acidity. Drinking wonderfully well and right in the zone of peak drinking. A great wine for the A$16 I paid for it. Still have another 5 from the case of 12.

Brodie,
The '91 is a favourite of mine in the pantheon of Wynns BLs, beautiful wine assuming you still get a good bottle

I’ve finished my 6 pack, but it was an excellent wine. Very successful at the wine shows when that meant something…. And better than the 91 JR

Yes an absolutely wonderful example of BL....think there's 3 or 4 left in the cellar. See backfilling of 90s BLs is becoming increasingly popular.
Cheers Craig
Tomorrow will be a good day
