TN: Whicher Ridge Frankland River Shiraz 2010

I'm a fan of Frankland River shiraz, and Whicher Ridge have made some crackers over the years. I've not had one this old before, however.
Purple black in colour. Complex and spicy nose with blueberries, cocoa powder, cloves, white pepper and cedary oak. On the palate, there's more of the blue and black berry and plum fruits offset by savoury developed characters and some licorice or aniseed. Acid is in balance and tannins are integrated, fine and grippy.
This is medium- to full-bodied, and finishes reasonably long. Probably not likely to improve, but looking pretty smart right now.
Cheers
