Garnet in colour. Delightful nose with marascino cherry, mushrooms, a little earthiness, and violets. The palate is delicate initially, with light cherry and strawberry to the fore. The wine seems to gain a little weight as it goes down - there's fine grained and well integrated tannins, excellent supporting acid, and heavier, darker fruits leading to a medium to long 'peacock's tail' finish. Most enjoyable.
