TN: MyattsField Cabernet Sauvignon Petit Verdot Merlot 2012

Opened and decanted late last night, and only a glass taken out of it then. The extra air time has allowed it to open up nicely.
Purple in colour. Blackcurrant, violets, blueberry, and some coffee on the nose, along with a little savoury oak. The palate is showing a good volume of fruit (slightly tart, red and dark fruits), with oak and acid in support. Tannins have integrated, and the grip is present but not a major feature. Medium to full bodied, and finishing reasonably long.
Not likely to improve, but probably not likely to fall over any time soon either.
Cheers
Allan
