TN: Ashbrook Estate Riesling 2020

Post by Waiters Friend »

I've been a fan of Ashbrook Estate for many years now. They are rare in Margaret River in that they make an excellent Riesling from estate grown fruit. Margaret River isn't well known for its riesling.

Pale yellow in colour. Lovely nose of lemon (juice and zest), talc, orange blossom, jasmine and some mandarin. The palate is pure and fresh without being overly tart or tangy. There's lemon / lime and more mandarin in a line down the tongue. The finish is clean and refreshing. Lovely as a young wine. I have never let them acquire some age, so cannot comment on mature versions of this wine.

Cheers

Wine, women and song. Ideally, you can experience all three at once.
