Last night , Frasier claimed to be opening a,
COTE DU RHONE CHATEAUNEUF DU PAPE 1947 !!!
It made me think,I wonder if that was a clever little script "error", left floating in the ether to see if anyone picked it, or just an example of no-one having a clue and just throwing a few words together to sound good !
I note also that Frasier is a member of a wine tasting club, and in one episode was the "cellar master". Jolly good.
Cheers
Frasier

I thought he was referred to as the "cork master"?

George,
I think that episode was the one where they opened the bottle given to the old man. His friend has stored it lovingly for years and gave it to the old man.
After tasting, and spitting it out immediately, Frasier and Niles asked the old man where his friend had stored his wine. The answer:-
"Near the furnace".
