G'day
I bought a six pack of this wine a few years ago, and for some reason left it alone. This is the first bottle.
There's a lot going on here. The nose is full of dark plums, chocolate, some cinnamon and cloves, and mere hints of cedary oak. The fruit flavours, while developing, are definitely dominant at present.
The palate is rich and texturally thick, with more rich thick dark plums, licorice, and black and blue fruits (although not berry-like). Tannins are well integrated and barely noticeable, but must be considerable to support the fruit weight. Acid is moderate but supportive, and the finish is very long indeed.
Drinking really well now, but should hold for 5+ years yet. Superb wine and time for a second glass.
Cheers
