TN: Eldridge Estate Chardonnay 2015

Purchased on a visit to the estate cellar door in late 2016.
Medium yellow in colour.
I've come to expect some citrus in Mornington Peninsula (and some Yarra Valley) chardonnays but this has less than I expected, with stone fruits (especially yellow peaches) and some cashews on the nose.
The palate shows a delightful texture, a little like peach skin, and the peach character is dominant on the palate as well. This isn't a simple wine, however, there's lots happening in support, with excellent freshening acid, and just the right amount of cedary oak.
It's my last bottle of the 2015, and I hope the 2016s I have will be equally satisfying.
Cheers
Allan
