TN: Coriole "Old House" Shiraz 2013

This is one of a couple of shiraz from Coriole under the 'Scarce Earth Project' moniker. Decanted 3 hours before service.
Purple / crimson in colour and quite dense. Intense red plum and mulberry nose, with vanilla, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, mocha and just a hint of leather. The palate follows the fruit theme, with a wash of rich red fruits over supporting but not obtrusive tannins and acid. More medium bodied than full bodied, but the finish is quite long.
Quite a satisfying wine - rich and ripe without being over the top. Probably will improve for a year or two more, and drink well for another 5.
Cheers
