A few wines with dinner

Caught up with a couple of friends and partners for dinner last night.
These notes are written now from memory.
1999 Leo Buring Clare Valley Riesling
Very golden colour. Still some acid and lemon lime with a hint of kero
2000 Corton Grand Cru Clos de Roi Burgundy
A lot bigger than I expected. The fruit has given way to more secondary notes that are earthy and slight mushroom.
Could go another 10 years easily.
1994 Wynns John Riddock Cabernet
The primary upfront fruit that I expect with JR has toned right down. More vegetal with a bit of sourness.
1999 Kay Brother Block 6 Shiraz
=WOTN - absolute cracker of a bottle. The oak and fruit have come together for a full mouthfeel, cigar box and a hint of dark chocolate. Still very dark and red for a wine that is 21 years old.
1993 Wynns Michael Shiraz
The american oak was still very much obvious on the nose but in a beautiful way. Tannins and acid still holding this wine together and red fruits.
2000 Chateau Ducru Beaucaillou Bordeaux
Macerated Cherries. It was this on the nose and palate. Some savory fruits as well.
I didn't rate it as highly but for the other it was =WOTN.
1998 Nederburg Eminence - Late harvest muscadel South Africa
Lighter style good balance of sweetness and fruit.
Server with:
Oysters, Salmon roulade, garlic prawns with sourdough
Slowed cooked lamb shanks, couscous, caper and lemon roasted cauliflower and garlic green beans
Cheese (goats, blue,cheddar and brie)
