Bright garnet in colour. The nose is a little shy (it was decanted 15 minutes before service), but shows some fresh cherry and a fair amount of mushroom. The palate is much more expressive, with an abundance of sour cherry, more of that mushroom, and a herbal or slightly medicinal flavour. There's good supporting acid, and tannins are fine and well integrated. Medium finish.

A fairly straightforward pinot noir, but not without some interest. Unlikely to improve, in my humble opinion.

Cheers
Allan

Hi Allan

You paint a fairly vivid picture of the wine and it seems to me that it could improve. An "abundance" of sour cherry as well as good acidity and tannin strikes me as having potential for future development. Do you have any more bottles?

Cheers ..................... Mahmoud.

Unfortunately not, Mahmoud. I understand where you're coming from, and maybe I haven't described it especially well. Maybe I should have included something about development of secondary characters (which there is). Regardless, I'm not convinced that the signs for improvement are there - I suspect the fruit will diminish without much to take it's place.
