Pale yellow in colour. The wine has a nutty and savoury nose with ripe peach and nectarine fruits not far away. Maybe a touch of fig as well. The fruit and oak is woven together well.
The palate follows the theme - stone fruits glide softly over the palate with the oak and savoury characters in strong support. Acid also plays a supporting and freshening role and the wine finishes quite full and long.
This is probably at a cusp in its development. Secondary characters are definitely noticeable, while primary fruit is still present. At 6 years old, it still has a few to go, but is drinking well now. It depends on how developed you like your chardonnay.
Cheers
Allan.
