Penfolds Red Wine Clinic - Effect on Auction Prices

A number of years ago someone said having a wine pass through the PRWC would detract from the wine's value as it would be topped up with a random recent vintage wine. So I was a little concerned when I put 2 Penfolds Bin 90As to auction recently (Langtons). One had passed the PRWC in 2010 and the other was in fact a generous replacement bottle from the Penfolds cellar after the other bottle failed miserably- it was horribly corked as N4Sir will attest to.
To my surprise the PRWC bottle sailed through auction at the $380 reserve however the other bottle is still stuck unloved well below the reserve.
What are other similar experiences with the PRWC wines at auction?
Also if anyone is interested in the remaining bottle that has been in my underground cellar since 2010 (from 1995 to 2010 in the Magill Estate cellar) send me a PM and I can reveal the lot number.
