Pale yellow in colour. Faint whiff of kero on the nose initially, clearing to pristine lemon and lime. Some florals and a touch of orange peel.
The palate is crisp and clean with refreshing acidity. The citrus flows evenly in a line down the throat, and the finish is medium to long.
Very good Riesling indeed, with a long life ahead.

A real shame this never makes it over to the UK. A wine I suspect I would like a lot.

Bought a dozen of these, I was so impressed. Unusual for me.

Opened one tonight
The kids reckoned the colour was like water (no we don't live in Adelaide
)
Great Riesling with food - last glass after dinner showing a bit of grape tannin, should help with the ageing but ...
I've been reassessing buying Drumborg Riesling. In the last few weeks I've opened a 2005, a 2006 and now this.
2006 is weak. okay but nothing special - doesn't have the acid to go much further. A bit boring - drink up
2005 is a good wine - as good as the reviews on release, probably not. Should hold - in the birth year collection, not unhappy with it but ...
Drumborg Riesling is a wine I have 14 vintages of from the 2005 to 2015 - having tried these 3 I'm inclined to say I prefer Watervale - I think that is wher my money will go in the future - hmm 64 bottles to go

Think its a nice problem to a have a stash of aged Riesling to drink...I have a few hundred bottles. Really impressed with 02, 12, 17 and 18 vintages of the Drumborg. Right up with Pikes Merle, which would be in the top 2-3 for me.
Cheers Craig
