TN: Myattsfield Joseph Myatt Reserve 2011

The composition of this wine changes each year. In 2011, it's a Cabernet (85%) Shiraz (15%).
Deep purple in colour. Cedary oak complements the dark fruits (black plums, blackcurrants) on the nose, and there's some cloves and cocoa as well. The palate is quite concentrated, while also being fresh and vibrant. There's a good balance of primary fruit and some savoury developed characters. Tannins are fully integrated, and the wine finishes quite long.
Still youthful, and should improve a little more over the next 2-3 years, and hold after that.
