TN: Rockford Rod & Spur Shiraz Cabernet 2012

65% Shiraz and 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, from the Barossa Valley. Purple red in colour.
Plum and blackberry is balanced by spicy oak, dried herbs and mocha / coffee. The palate is intense and rich, with slight viscosity (possibly from the 14.4% alcohol). Tannins are grippy but not angular, and there's signs of development from bottle age with some savoury characters adding complexity. The wine finishes quite long and full.
This should go another 5 years without any dramas.
