Made from the home vineyard in the Swan Valley
Garnet in colour. Lots of spices (cinnamon and clove) on the nose, along with developed plummy fruit and coffee grounds. The savoury aspects of this wine are dominating, with lots of mocha. Chocolate also appears on the palate, and there's some viscosity and texture deriving from the oak and the tannins. There's sweet fruit in the form of jam or conserve, and adds to the texture and palate weight.
The wine overall is quite powerful and intense. I'm not sure it will get any better than this, and a bottle tasted a year or so ago was in better balance.
Cheers
Allan

Wine, women and song. Ideally, you can experience all three at once.
