Apparently 2015 was a good vintage in Montepulciano, like 2013 (and not like 2014). This was a reasonable example.
Sour cherries and plums on the nose (especially dark plums). A little vanilla and some savoury characters, including leather and tobacco. The palate is firm, with grippy tannins and the fruit and savoury characters present but quite soft (for this style of wine). Acid is also supporting the palate and provides freshness, Medium length, and easily drunk without food.
A softer example of Il Vino Nobile Di Montepulciano, and possibly won't last more than about 5 years. I could be wrong, of course!
Cheers
Allan

Wine, women and song. Ideally, you can experience all three at once.
