Whites from reds

A couple very unusual and interesting wines last night at one of my wine groups. Both were white wines made from red wine grapes. I didn't take any formal notes, so just a few brief comments from what I remember.
2015 Castello di Verduno Verduno Pelaverga Bellis Perennis
White Pelaverga. Still has that unripe strawberry aroma of its red counterpart. Hard to discern any fruit on the palate. A very structural wine.
2016 Terrazze dell'Etna Terre Siciliane Ciuri
White Nerello Mascalese. That classic Etna minerality is still there, with the acid being quite pronounced. Citrus on the palate.
