I could use some help.
Were going Italian tonite BYO. and was wanting to try an Italian
white and red.
Does anyone have any thoughts.
Probably dont want to spend more than $25

Rob,

There is a truckload of Italian stuff out there,I've found the whites to be a little more variable and hard to pin down. As to availability,not sure where you are. However,the A'mano Primitivo red is widely available and usually represents good value at just under $20. I also recently had a Teuzzo Chianti Classico 1998 from Dan Murphy's at $28 which was very good and a nice way to introduce yourself to Chianti. HAvn't found that many good whites but try Soave,Orvieto,Gavi,Moscato,Verdicchio; there are so many white varieties and regions its hard to know where to start. Good Luck.
