Purple black in colour. Developed and earthy nose, with lots of jammy blueberries and blueberry conserve. Plus some blueberries. They're climbing out of the glass in a delicious way. There's some mocha just to provide savoury juxtaposition, but the developed fruit is the majority player here (if you hadn't guessed by now). Admittedly, it's a warm night in Perth, so the aromas are more prominent.
The palate is a little more balanced, with the fruit complementing the earthiness and moderately grippy tannins. The mouthfeel is also textural, and there's some coffee and chocolate there too. The finish has a reasonable length.
Not going to get any better, and this was my last bottle. Most enjoyable for its style.
Cheers
