Purchased in half bottles as cleanskins many years ago for a fiver each. I rarely think to open a VP, and it was the perfect way to finish off a casual Christmas BBQ.
Deep ruby colour. Intense nose with raisins, Christmas cake and brandy. The palate was rich without being over the top, a little viscous, more Christmas or fruit cake, with the brandy spirit providing some warmth.
No sharp edges or alcoholic heat, just a round, mouthfilling and very satisfying drop.
Cheers
