Hi all,

This was from the second half of a bottle I tried today which had been open for 24hrs. At first there was the barest trace of oxidisation stepping in, but with a bit of a swirl all of this was completely blown away by a tidal wave of licorice consuming blackcurrant, and rich, ripe, sweet blackberries, and there was one of those "I can smell it from here" comments from a passer by.

After pulling myself together, I tried a sip and had the same thoughts about oxidisation, but once again the second mouthfull told the real story. The sweet, dense blackberry comes first with a backbone of blaccurrant and winter leafiness, balanced with liquorice (14% alcohol). Not super long on the palate but has a very attractive density and fleshiness and could be a problem on the stomach if you went more than one bottle without eating something. A standout for $14 a bottle, and $12/case.

regards to all,
