TN: Redgate Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

G'day
This is the standard model - Redgate has introduced their Ullinger Reserve (named after Bill Ullinger, the father) in recent years, as the vineyards have matured. The original vines went in sometime in the early 1970s.
This wine shows a deep crimson colour. The nose is typical Margaret River blackcurrant, with integrated oak supporting the dark fruits. There's also hints of dark chocolate, coffee and maybe some tomato leaf and bay leaf. The palate is seamless, with developed dark fruits overlaying savoury characters. Tannins are finely integrated to the point that they are barely noticeable. The finish is harmonious and satisfyingly long.
This is a good place at 6 years old.
Cheers
Allan
