TN: MyattsField Riesling 2018

G'day.
This is MyattsField's first release of Riesling, and is from a vineyard in Manjimup (WA). 12.2% alcohol.
Pale yellow in colour, but not water-like (which some very young Rieslings can be). An extremely floral nose, with talc and a touch of orange peel over the top of the expected lemon-lime.
The palate is similar, with the lemon lime almost creating the foundation for the other flavours to rest on. Acid is high (as also expected) but tempered by what might be a small amount of lees texture. This is not a steely, tight young Riesling - there's some generosity of flavour already apparent, while retaining some light touch. A reasonably long and refreshing finish completes a very drinkable wine.
Cheers
Allan
