TN: Seppelt Original Sparkling Shiraz 2005

Wimbledon finals, F.A. Cup finals, and AFL Grand Finals. These always require the opening of a sparkling red in my house. I missed the first two this year, so today it's a 2005 Seppelt Original - especially as the West Coast Eagles are playing. I toasted their triumph with this.
Deep purple black in the glass, and opaque. A nose with spices, raspberry and a touch of leather. The palate is the highlight, with the mousse offsetting molten chocolate, lots of red berry fruits and somewhat grippy tannins. Medium bodied, but long finish and full flavoured. Delicious!
Probably not going to improve, but certainly not on the way out either. I'm happy - and not just with the AFL result
Cheers
