Betts and Scholl

Post by Mahmoud Ali »

I came across a 2009 bottle of Betts & School's 'The Chronique' Grenache. I know very little about this brand having never had a bottle and though it is tempting to try a bottle that is almost a decade old it is 15% alc/vol and I am worried that it might be an over-wrought wine. Anybody here know anything about this producer or this wine in particular?

Thanks ................... Mahmoud.

Never heard of it, but there's a few tasting notes on Vivino and CellarTracker.

Hope that helps.

Seems like a few people liked it some years back. My worry of course is that plump, fruity wines, if extracted, taste great when young but often fall apart with age.

Thanks .............. Mahmoud.
