This one from Kunming with prices matching 389 at about $100 AUD per bottle !

I'm sure China's latent soft-power influence in Australian politics and education institutions will let this all pass, as wine is for the rich anyways.

Jamie...its incredibly rare that I agree with you, but you have it in one with the soft politics.

However, if the boot was on the other foot...and the Chinese had just cause, then this sort of activity would cease in seconds.

Bin 8 and 386 are both Cabernet Shiraz. What's the point of trying to imitate Penfolds and calling the Bin 389 a Gamay? I don't think Penfolds even make a Gamay.

Perhaps an honest mainland business practice requiring correct grape identification. I bet these Penfolds knock-offs were not held up in customs over Australias protesting of foreign meddling.
