Dark purple. Nose is a complex mix of cabernet leafiness, cedar, mint and cassis. The palate also starts with mint, cigar box, briary elements, over some delicate cassis fruit which comes through a little lighter than the nose suggests. There is no obtrusive oak poking out: it's there, but well and truly in the background. Tannins are fine and abundant, and the finish is quite warming, from acid rather than alcohol. While a touch more fruit would do this good, the overall impression is balance. Excellent choice when you want a rest from big alcohol shiraz. I reckon this will be better in a few years, but no real experience with ageing this style.

Lovely.

cheers

I remember trying their Shiraz some time ago and it wasn't that bad! No details remembered I'm afraid.
