TN: Wolf Blass Langhorne Creek Cabernet Shiraz 2012

Rich purple / crimson in colour. The nose shows blackberry and dark plums over vanillan oak. There's also a little spice and savouriness amongst the fairly ripe and sweet fruit.
The palate is surprisingly soft and full, with some milk chocolate and a velvet mouthfeel alongside the fruit. Tannins are fine grained and well integrated (barely noticeable but supporting the wine well) and the alcohol is also not noticeable. There's some palate weight but this is predominantly a medium bodied wine.
Not too heavy, not too light …. just right.
Cheers
