TN: Castelli Estate Shiraz 2011

This was the wine that first introduced me to this Great Southern producer.
At 7 years of age, it's purple / red in colour. The nose is full of ripe plummy fruit, with savoury oak in support. There's a little cinnamon / spice, and some raspberry, which extends through to the palate. Tannins are fine and dusty, and only slightly grippy. The red fruits on the palate are quite tangy, and there's a good balance between developed fruit, acid and oak.
The wine is medium bodied and possibly at its peak now.
Cheers
