G'day
This iconic winery has been represented in my cellar for more than 20 years. It's good to open an older one from time to time.
Purple red in colour. Developed nose of red and black fruits, especially raspberry, with fair dollops of leather, spice, and tobacco. The palate is harmonious with the developed fruits supported by a line of acid and noticeable tannins. The wine is medium bodied, with a lingering finish.
Not a typical full bodied Cabernet by any means, but a very good example of the alternative.
Cheers
Allan
